Kapamilya singer-songwriter Yeng Constatino has been missing her online presence after she stopped using any form of social media for almost three months now. This was due to her self imposed hiatus from the internet after she received intense bashing and criticism from many netizens denouncing her allegedly doctor shaming video blog following an incident involving her husband.

It can be recalled that Yeng and her better half, Yan Asuncion, encountered an incident while on a vacation in Siargao. Her husband experience a temporary memory loss shortly after jumping off from a diving cliff spot in the said tourist destination.
But when they took Yan to the hospital, the husband did not seem to received proper treatment like she had expected.

The Tawag ng Tanghalan judge then took it to social media, particularly her Youtube channel, to vent out her frustration with attending physicians and other hospital staff. However, many netizens, especially people working in the medical field, did not like Yeng's complaint that she posted online. It did not take long before Yeng started to left and right criticisms. Even the Philippine Medical Association gave their piece and condemned the 30 year old multi awarded artist for her actions. She later said sorry for what happen and asked for forgiveness of the health professional that got involved

In a recent interview, Constatino admitted that she has distance her away from social media for the time being. She even shared that the incident had somewhat traumatized her and feels a little fear whenever she sees logos of famous social media brands like Youtube or Twitter.

“Bumubuwelo pa ako." Hindi pa ako bumabalik, magtu-two and a half months na."
"It’s my first time to be bashed that much. Na-culture shock ako."
Yeng also noted that the incident has taught her a couple of things. She told that she realized her mistakes and social media is a very powerful tool nowadays, even to the most veteran artists in the showbiz industry.

"Alam ko pong... matagal na ako sa industry. I’ve been here for 12 years and at times you feel you’re so strong."
"Paisa-isang bash, parang wala kang reaksiyon. Pero pag bulto, parang hindi mo alam ang gagawin mo."
If there's one take away that Yeng got from the experience, it is not to share too much personal information online.
"Social media is such a beautiful thing, it’s a tool to communicate with your fans, to connect with the people who love you."
"But at the end of the day, it's not the right place for you to say so much personal stuff pala."
