Recently, actress Angel Locsin and fiancé Neil Arce was spotted in a supermarket buying relief goods in a mall in Davao. The photos surfaced the internet after the netizens uploaded it on social media.
Senator Dick Gordon also expresses her thank you message to the actress because according to him, the actress together with her fiancé, Neil Arce volunteered in Philippine Red Cross to help giving relief goods and hygiene kit to the earthquake victims.

On November 1 and November 2, the actress shared on social media a glimpse of her visit to the affected areas of earthquake in Mindanao.
The Kapamilya Star personally helped the 2 most affected cities--- Digos City, Davao Del Sur and Makilala, North Cotabato.

Angel's social media accounts were silent during her visit with Neil Arce. However, videos and photos of the newly engaged couple circulated the internet after the locals who took videos and photos of them uploaded it on social media platforms.
These included the videos and photos uploaded on November 2 by the local citizen, Flora Mae Montes Basiliote that showed Angel checking the conditions of the evacuees tent by tent which are temporarily set up by Barangay Batasab in Makilala.

Yesterday, November 3, the actress posted on her Twitter account her 'thank you' message to those people who helped her to make her relief efforts possible.
She wrote, “No politics here. Just respect and gratitude to Cong. Paolo Duterte and Sir Bryan Lim for lending the truck with manpower, on a holiday, for the cause WITHOUT ASKING FOR ANYTHING IN RETURN. No posters, no mentions, no photo ops. No ‘pa-pogi’ points. Just pure service. This act deserves an appreciation post. MARAMING SALAMAT PO.” Followed by the hashtags, #GivingCreditWhereTheCreditIsDue and #HelpMindanao

On the other hand, multi-awarded Angel Locsin posted on her Instagram account the state of quake victims particularly those in Makilala Town are in.
In a separate comment, she said, “Sa kasalukuyan, nasa Barangay Batasan, Makilala po sila ngayon.

In a video interview by Angel, Pastor Joel Pang-ot of Barangay Batasan shared that the two consecutive, powerful earthquakes that strucked Central Mindanao and Davao Region this week, left them homeless and traumatized.

But what suppposed to be their refuge, another earthquake hit their city on October 31, killing their village chief Bangot and others were injured.
He also appealed for help and attention from President Duterte and Mindanaoan senators Bong Go and Manny Pacquiao.
Despite their situation, Pastor Joel said that the evacuees and survivors are keeping their faith.
On other reports, it was stated that the evacuees are in need of foods, water and medicines.
Citing numbers from the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC),it was also reported that the death toll in the two quakes has climbed to 21. The magnitude 6.6 quake on October 29 claimed nine lives out of the 18 deaths in Central Mindanao. Others perished from the magnitude 6.5 quake that took place only two days after.
Based on yesterday night’s NDRRMC figures, quake-affected families have totaled to 29,479 families or 147,395 persons.
