Kapamilya actress and host Anne Curtis expressed her sentiments to those people who kept on asking her plans on bearing a child. The 34 year old Anne spoke in behalf of her fellow women and celebrities as she request the media to stop asking such questions.
At the 10th anniversary presscon of It's Showtime, Curtis said that the media should not talk about a woman's pregnancy because they may have underlying issues that may only add to their problems.
“I think I should take this opportunity and say that the press should stop asking that to any woman, because you don’t know what they’re going through,”
“For me naman, it will happen in God’s time, and I think at any time I’m ready for it. But I’m speaking for every woman. You don’t know what they’re going through,”
“I have a lot of friends who may be trying, and medyo nakakasakit when people keep asking them, ‘When are you going to have a baby?’ Or maybe they just don’t want to have a baby.”
“I hope you guys don’t take this the wrong way, but I think in respect to every woman, you should stop asking when they’re going to get married, why don’t they have a baby, or when they are going to have a baby,” esplika pa niya.
Her fellow host and friend Vice Ganda expressed his agreement on Anne's sentiment and said that there is nothing wrong with what she said.
“Si Anne wala naman siyang masama na gustong sabihin doon. Pero since nasasanay kasi tayo. Iyon ang isa sa nakasanayan na we should put a stop to.”
Anne was married to Erwan Heusaff in 2017 and has not been pregnant since. Almost all of her celebrity friends such as Georgina Wilson, Liz Uy, Isabelle Daza now have their own children. Her BFF Solenn Heussaff recently announce that she is pregnant with their first child with husband Nico Bolzico.
