Premier actor John Lloyd Cruz has been missing the showbiz scene ever since his self imposed hiatus back in 2017. Her fans and followers have continued to watch a new chapter in his life unfold through clips and pictures shared on social media. Many also took note how John Lloyd seemed to embraced a laid back private lifestyle as he allowed his hair, moustache and beard grow during those three 3 long years. All throughout his absence, there were no statement from 36 year old actor when will he be back in showbiz.
It is unsual for a celebrity to have a messy overall look, their appearance besides their acting prowess is their bread and butter after all. Many were delighted when John Lloyd showcased his brand new look last June when finally had a haircut and shaved his facial hair. For a critically acclaimed actors like Cruz, things just don't happened for no reason. There's probably a good excuse why the actor sported that beard and moustache previously.
Yesterday, September 30, the actor's fans and followers was greeted with a good news. John Lloyd might have finally ended his long break from acting. Cruz was shown on the final remaining seconds of the teaser trailer for the movie Culion. The project is currently vying for a slot at the upcoming annual Metro Manila Film Festival. The actor's former messy look might actually be in preparation for his character. John Lloyd can be seen on the trailer and most likely the whole movie still donning his facial hair.
Cruz's apparent movie comeback was a big surprise to those who have seen the trailer. His name has never been mentioned nor been connected to the film prior to it's ad campaign launch. Shandii Bacolod, the film's producer did not provide any further information except that John Lloyd will play a very important role in the upcoming movie. The actor's last big screen production role was the blockbuster Finally Found Someone in 2017 alongside Sarah Geronimo.
