Trina Legaspi or also known as Hopia, is now a 25-year-old woman who was a graduate of the ABS-CBN kiddie gag show, Goin' Bulilit at around the same time as Kathryn Bernardo and Julia Montes. But unlike the two, Hopia decided to leave showbiz to prioritize her studies.
Hopia pursued Communication Arts in Miriam College and she is set to finish school soon. In 2016, Hopia earned her bachelor’s degree in Communication.
As she makes her showbiz comeback, Hopia told the reporters on her interview that she is ready to do matured roles and leave her "tweetums" image behind. She appeared in Home Sweetie Home along with fellow Goin’ Bulilit star, Miles Ocampo. Home Sweetie Home is a romantic-comedy show starred by the leading actress Toni Gonzaga and many more that airs every Saturday nights.
On August this year, she played the role of Angela in one episode of Ipaglaban Mo with the title, #IMBagongsalta. Ipaglaban Mo is a segment of ABS-CBN where it depicts from true stories involving a case that violates a certain law hosted by the father-and-son, Atty. Jose Sison and his son, Atty. Jopet Sison. On her episode, she played the role of Angela who has an odinary life with her family when suddenly, it goes down after her parents let a stranger come into their lives. Along with her are veterans Lito Pimentel and Teresa Loyzaga.
Her last appearance is the recent Star Magic Event, "Black Magic" where the celebrities is costumed in different characters for the advance celebration of halloween. Hopia appeared as Rogue of X-Men. Her fans and loyal supporters were suprised and overjoyed to see their childhood idol again on screen.
Trina Legaspi is considered as one of the most popular actresses of her generation under ABS-CBN Management and Star Magic. She has been featured in different television shows and movies like Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK), Prinsesa, Baka Siguro Yata, Dalaw, A Love To Last and many more. She was also a Golden Screen Award Nominee on 2008.
