The on going family feud of Barreto was like an open book to the public after the video incident of the sisters on their late father. Due to many controversies thrown against each side, Marjorie Barretto had a personal "tell-all' interview with Karen Davilla that aired on TV Patrol. Later on, Atong Ang, who was also dragged into the situation, decided to take his side with an special interview with news anchor Noli De Castro making himself clear about all the allegations thrown at him by Marjorie.
To wrap it up, the sides of Gretchen and Claudine is the opposing side of Marjorie and her daughter, Julia. With that being said, the name of former beauty queen Ruffa Gutierrez was dragged to the issue after Ruffa commented on Julia's Instagram photo. The 'plain comment' caused her to be named by Gretchen as "sawsawera." Minutes later the said comment, Gretchen call out Ruffa through Instagram story showing the screenshot of her comment with a caption, "sawsaw pa more Ruffy."
Some netizens are concluding that they are hot blooded after involving in of the most biggest showbiz scandal in the past.
Ruffa didn't answer against Gretchen but posted a cryptic message on her Instagram photo saying, "The next time they try to put you down, just remember that confidence is silent but insecurities are loud AF." For the netizens, the message was for Gretchen.
Another post of Ruffa on her Instagram was a video with the presence of Gretchen's youngest sister, Claudine. The netizens were all shocked because they thought that the relationship of Ruffa towards the Barretto family was not casual. Her post was for the 30th Anniversary of Metro where she got the opportunity to have a moment with Claudine. She then clarified that she and Claudine are in good terms.
One netizen's comment was noticed by Gutierrez after the netizen noticed the actress Claudine on her uploaded video.
"Woah Claudine is also there rin pala... I'm glad both of u were okay..."
Ruffa then clarified that they are in good terms because Claudine has been kind to her and to her family.
"For the record, Claudine has always been sweet, polite and kind to me and my family," Ruffa answered.
In her recent iterview, Ruffa said that she has nothing to do with the Barretto dispute.
"Napaka peace loving ko. Napakabait ko. So, if ever na merong problema, silang nag-aaway sa akin. Never akong nang aaway."
She went on saying that, "Gusto ko lang linawin sa lahat ng tao na wala akong kinakampihan, hindi ako sumasawsaw. Ako'y nananahimik."
As of now, both parties are silent after the interviews and all of them are busy minding their own business.
