Showbiz is full of buzz most of the times because medias are everywhere, all the time. They are like CCTV cameras waiting for new scoops about a celebrity's events even their personal life. Being a celebrity also means being open to the public and sometimes invades privacy for the name of showbiz industry.
Recently this year, the names of Gerald Andreson, Bea Alonzo, Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia became the talk of the year after the allegations that Julia and Gerald have a more than friendship 'relationship.' This issue circulated the internet after one of Bea's fan who took a stolen photo of actress Julia and actor Gerald being together on a dinner. It was seen that Bea liked these photos but was silent about the issue.
Julia, on the other hand, posted a message pertaining to her bashers and call out Bea Alonzo because as per her, she was bullied by her fans and it was Bea who is 'playing the victim' and that, she is the one who is the real victim. Bea was silent all along and haven't reacted to Julia's post. Though Bea didn't reacted about any of the posts about them, she posted a cryptic message on her Instagram speaking about cheating and/or cheaters.
Joshua, had his TWBA guesting and broke down into tears when interviewed about the issue of their relationship break up and Gerald kept his silence.
It has been months after the issue but it seems that most of us hasn't moved on yet. It is after Gerald Anderson got 'booed' by the audiences during the UP-Ateneo Basketball UAAP game. During the second quarter, the face of the actor was flashed on the screen and the audiences started to yell 'bpp' at him and some even shouted that, "Team Bea kami." Though it is not clear which side of the bench shouted the "team Bea," one thing is clear, that the fans of UP and Ateneo is still affected by the issue.
The video clip of the scene where the Kapamilya actor was 'booed' went viral on Twitter and other social media platform that gained different reactions from the netizens. Some witty comments joked about the big hit movie of Bea, 'Four Sisters and A Wedding' where she played the role of Bobbie Salazar who graduated from Ateneo. While her co-stars, Toni Gonzaga, Angel Locsin and Shaina Magdayao played the roles as her sisters who were graduates from UP.
"Nasa UP side si Gerald Anderson. 'makes sense' Ateneo alumna kasi si Bobbie eh."
"Trending si Gerald Anderson bcoz UP and Ateneo booed him during the basketball game. Well, what do you expect? Those are the Salazar's Sisters alma mater!"
While most of the comments are hating the actor, some netizens defended him saying,
"No one deserves to be boo'ed like that. I am sad for Gerald Anderson. We don't even know what really happened. Taga Ateneo at UP pa naman."
"Why boo Gerald Anderson? Yes. He cheated but he never deserves to be booed in public and in a National TV Program."
Gerald is known for playing basketball and a player of Imus Bandera team of Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League that could also explains why the actor is present on that game.
